Pontet.

The Pontet family, originally from Marseille, has been working in the eyewear business for four generations. Starting with founder Hermès' great-grandfather Jean-André, a photographer by trade who would use his tools to assess and correct eyesight. Later, Hermès' grandfather  would go on to open one of Marseille's first optical stores, Optique Pontet which still continues to this day!

PONTET is the fruit of multiple heritages: family for the object, cultural and mythological for the creative inspiration. Hermes, Greek god of thieves and travellers, guardian of the roads and messenger from Olympus, symbolizes the spirit of adventure. Each pair of glasses tells a unique story, linked to a place, an encounter or a journey.
